A large Cycad from a few areas of Queensland and New South Wales, Australia. Despite it's natural habitat, it has shown good cold tolerance in cultivation making it one of the few Cycads that are worth a try in cool temperate regions. It is somewhat palm like in appearance and large specimens can easily be mistaken for Phoenix canariensis (Canary Island Date Palm).
