Neoregelia is a member of the Bromeliad family. This is one of the many cultivars now available. This is a fairly small, epiphytic species. Epiphytes grow on the trunks and branches of other plants and catch large volumes of water in their leaves. Though not cold tolerant it can be grown quite easily as a house plant, either tied to another plant or in it's own pot.
