Common name: Macarthurs Palm. This is a small species from the tropical rainforests of Queensland, Australia. Although this species will take full sun, they are quite happy in fairly heavy shade and will not grow as large in shady conditions. Although quite tropical in it's requirements, it's small size and low light requirements make it a good house plant. If grown indoors ensure regular watering and misting to maintain reasonable humidity.
