Common Name: Highland Sugar Cane Palm.
One of the higher altitude Dypsis species growing at up to 2200m. A medium sized clumping species with thin stems and finely pinnate, drooping leaflets, similar to Dypsis onilahensis. Due to the elevation of it's natural habitat in Madagascar, it is hoped that it will be quite cold hardy, although it is fairly new to cultivation, so there is little information about minimum temperatures available yet.
