Common name: Cat Palm, Cascade Palm.
A trunkless, clumping species from Mexico. This species is a rheophyte, which means it often spends time partly submerged under water. Although partially frost tolerant, this species will not survive outside, unprotected in most cool temperate areas, but being small and tolerant of low light levels can make a good indoor plant. Larger plants will take full sun as long as they are watered regularly.
